Welcome
Thank you friends and family for your support and prayer as we prepare embark on this amazing trip. We can't wait to see what God has in store for us there and how he will use us in some amazing ways to share his love. For those of you who do not know my Dad and I (Lindi) are going to Liberia a week prior to the rest of the team. We will be leaving for Liberia on December 20th and the rest of the team leaves on December 27th. So yes, this means my Dad and I will be celebrating Christmas 2009 in Africa and I could not be more excited!
This blog will be updated prior to us leaving and as often as possible while we are in Liberia. I will including pictures when possible and prayer requests. Once the rest of the team arrives, you can continue to read updated by going here.
Today's Update
Yesterday my Dad and I sat down and laid out everything we had to do before the trip. I typed out the list today and organized the people we need to contact about what. Right now we are looking at doing some stuff with Greater Love, possibly visiting some of the local government primary schools, visiting the University of Liberia, Tela Medicine, and finding Maurice. More information such as dates for each activity will be coming soon. I have to say that I am in my element when it comes to planning. This is probably why my Dad is leaving it to me. My Dad meets the people and I plan out when we are going to meet them. Its a good team effort if I do say so myself.
Prayer Request
Endurance for my Dad to finish up everything he needs to do at work before we leave.
Wisdom for us to know what God wants us to do on this trip.
Patience as we plan so we don't rush into an decisions that God would not want
Perspective to see that God's vision for this trip is bigger then ours.
